Question: Help! I am knitting an afghan. What does it mean when the instructions say: "Pattern 4 rows and end with a right side row."?
Answer: Where does the pattern come from? An afghan should have a reversible stitch pattern. Apparently, this does not. It means, work in recommended pattern for 4 rows, and end with a right side row. That is, you end the pattern on a row with the public side out. The right side being the outside or public side (the side people see). For example, if you are knitting in stockinette stitch, (one row knit, one row purl), the knit side is the out side and the stitch you end with. If I had the pattern, I could tell you better, but that's what it means. Not to brag, but I've been knitting for years. Hope this helps, and happy knitting!
