Crochet pattern from Mary Maxim @ 10 yrs ago. Little squares about one inch done diagonally - not granny sq

Question: Looking for baby afghan/blanket pattern that was advertised in Mary Maxim over 10 years ago. Was done in bright baby colors and looked like it was about one inch squares worked on the diagonal. Would like pattern or if someone could even tell me the name of the book that it was in I might be able to get an archived copy from Mary Maxim.

Answer: there is a new book out by Margaret Hubert called Hooked Throws-20 easy crochet patterns. Pn page 57, there is a baby blanket that might be what you are looking for. I tried a pattern similar to this long ago, but never mastered it. You use a crochet hook, but you do afghan stitch on each square.
