i have a sculpt that is 33cm tall and 12cm in width, do you think 5kg of plaster would be enough?

Question: - enough to take a mold of it, it's thicker in the middle - arms are behind back, and thin at the top (he has a large pointy hat - it is gnome shaped)

Answer: I'd guess so, especially as your mold doesn't have to be that thick. Though I hope you know all about where to place parting lines, to avoid any undercuts with plaster molds (ideally you should have draft everywhere) and mold release agents. Otherwise you may end up with a block of plaster with a gnome inside and no way of getting it out.
